It's been a little while since we wrote a newsletter, but we have a few updates to tell you about. Firstly, the festival season has gone very well for Charlie this year. She took headlining sets at Boston Music Festival in Lincolnshire and Worrall Festival on the outskirts of Sheffield, both accompanied by guitarist Tom Sweeney playing the new Ghosts & Heroes material. She will be playing solo material from the new album and some old favourites.

Every year I come to write about the months that have passed and every year it seems to have come round sooner than the last. 2010 has been a good year for new collaborations and friendships. It all started back on New Year's Eve 2009 when my friend, piano accordionist, Harriet Bartlett phoned to say she was making a trip to Sheffield for a folkie New Year's party and I was invited along. After a much festivity and a rendition of Auld Lang Syne, plans were underway for the Ba
