Charlie Barker has announced she will be back in 2024, whilst she takes a short break to undergo a medical procedure. She said via her social media:
"This weekend will be a busy one, playing at two fabulous venues.
I am sad to announce these will be my last concerts for the moment, whilst I undergo a medical procedure and take time to recover.
Music is so important to me. It’s not just a job, it is my life and that is why I plan to return fighting fit in 2024.
Thank you to my lovely agent Simon Quarmby for supporting me with everything and the promoters/ venues I now won’t be able to visit as planned.
I can’t tell you how much I am looking forward to coming back to the stage. I will see you all soon!"
Her last concerts of this year took place on the 9th and 10th September at the fabulous Tyrwhitt Arms 80s Weekend followed by a brilliant night at Haven's Far Grange holiday park, again celebrating all things 80s and sharing a bill with the lovely band, Rio.
We honestly couldn't have hoped for a better weekend to finish this year's events on and a big thank you to everyone who came along and made it a weekend to remember.
Charlie cannot wait to return to stage in 2024, following a period of recovery, but in the meantime she will be actively posting on social media and you can expect some more musical content on her YouTube in this time. Make sure you follow below.
