October 2015

It's been a little while, but we're very pleased to report that Charlie is set for a busy month this October.

Following on from an enjoyable summer season, where she played the Sheffield Food Festival and also Tramlines, Charlie has also started teaching music in school workshops and on a one to one basis.

She is also delighted to be performing once again supporting Sunjay in Retford (10th Oct) and sharing the bill with the Free Radicals in Sheffield (17th Oct).

Charlie has also recently joined to support the Women's Equality Party, founded by broadcaster and comedian Sandi Toksvig and journalist, Catherine Meyer, also lead by Sophie Walker. Charlie is very excited to have been asked to perform at the national party policy launch event being held at Sheffield's Showroom Cinema on the 20th October, where she'll be performing some previously unheard material. The event is also in conjunction with the launch of the Suffragette film.

Charlie said: "I am so pleased to be part of an organisation who at a grassroots level is concerned with taking issues of equality in education, business, the law and culturally to the forefront of the political table. I believe the great and ever-growing support for the WEP will do this. Equality benefits everyone regardless of gender."
